Valley widens cut in places to breadth of ca 2 miles or more. 1900 - leaving Pitwegea turning N over the hills toward Beaufort. 1908 crew coast just S of Liz A 1915 passing over Liz A - flew upstream from these content loops and back to the coast. 1920 At end of leigh, coast line N of Liz A - cutting inland straight toward Wainwright. 2007 crossing over Attock - upstream from out- flight evening. 2026 on coast NW of Wainwright 2054 landing on sea ice at Wainwright. We left Lockheart with a message for Nap Brewer and went up to the village to the school home, where our gear had already been hauled up by sled and dog-team. We greeted Mr. and Mrs. Crawford, and were taken to our quarters. While we were eating a late dinner, Mr. Crawford came up to tell us that some of the kills had live lamming for us. I went out and bought 21 of the best ones for 50ยข each. There were several others too beaten up to live long.
