Cade 1957 General Account 31 May - cont activities. Saw a few fresh looking lemming pellets on the first low ridge beyond the car area. There was little wind today, and the sun was out part of the afternoon. First partly sunny day since my arrival. 1 June Went out with B. Rock in a weasel at 1230. We traveled about 4 miles west of the village along the beach bluffs and back inland along the exposed ridges. There was abundant old sign of lemming activity - old pellets and droppings were everywhere, - but we saw no lemmings and little fresh sign. 2 June Another bright day. Spent the morning and afternoon in the lab. Skinned a few birds. In the evening, Makers, Campbell and I went out in a weasel to the gas well and back. Saw no jaegers, owls, or lemmings. But we did see almost constant flocks of ducks passing offshore between 2100 & 2400 hours. 3 June Spent the afternoon in the lab preparing a goose for Max. Went out with John Campbell in the evening to the Point and back looking
