Cade 1957 General Account 29 May - out the lab. They have near only a little lemming sign and no predators. Talked with Mar Blevins briefly before he left for Fairbanks. We plan to go over to Warmwright when he gets back to see about getting lemmings from there. Chester has brought in a few from kids in the village. Spent rest of the day getting my gear together and settling deacon at the lab. Met the Blevins for the first time. 30 May Camp holiday today - nothing doing and very quiet. Brock and I figured out the lemmings that Chester has brought in so far. We walked out around the car area in the afternoon. Saw lots of gulls but no jaegers or lemmings. There was a whateaer around and three shorebirds that may have been turnstones. Lots of snow buntings and some lovebirds. 31 May Took a 4 hour walk in the afternoon out south of ARL beyond the car area toward the gas well. Saw a number of birds, including one short-eared owl, but no lemmings. Lots of sign of last year's
