Weather and Phenology
27 June Bresby plants in general are about half way leafed out. Water level has been falling in Sea Bee creek for several days. Less than 10% of ground is covered by snow-curl in sheltered places. Larger lakes still have ice in centers. Mosquitoes increasing and bothersome for first time today.
Light wind most of day from NE.
28 June Again bright and clear in the morning with moderately strong westerly wind. In the afternoon tending to cloud up with rain squalls appearing on N horizon. Wind shifting to N. at 2300 still mostly clear with scattered clouds, a little wind. Temp at 2300 = 11.2°C.
Arctic alpine blooming on slope above T2 - also some buttercups. Arctostaphylos has buds ready to break and Betula has nearly mature catkins. The purple Peck's willow is now in full bloom.
