T. Cade 1956 General Account 7 July Got up at 1200 after almost continuous rain since arriving at camp #5. Still cloudy, but things are drying out somewhat. Made some futile attempts to patch Ben's boat. Mire is not looking so badly, but Web has to bail constantly while they travel to keep the other boat afloat. Left camp #5 at 1630 - sky still grey and with some wind. Will try to travel straight on in to Uniat from here. 8 July Stopped at a gap aerial ca ½ mile below the cliff with the double ridge, where eggs nested in 'G2'. Took two fine, large eyass falcons and continued. Stopped to eat and rest at 1000 and resumed travel around 1300. Light chizzle all the rest of the way in. We arrived at Uniat about 2300. 9 July Spent the day resting up from the trip and getting gear and boats put away. Helped Web make a cadge to carry his falcons back on. He will take 4 with him, and I am keeping 3 to take out later. I am keeping the two youngest chicks and one of the falcons from the last aerial. 10 July The Air Force came in from Laff around 1500 to pick up Web. I helped him get his duffle and the birds ready and saw him off at 1600.
