Cade 956 General Account 13 June the Wien even. Good bench of quay despite armor. Afterward Ben and I took the 6x6 truck out to the weasel to pull it out. We had a lot of trouble. The weasel had leaked and was full of water up to the floor board. The foam was splashing water all over the place. We bailed out enough water to clear the jam and clevis shaft. The truck could not pull the weasel forward. Finally we jested it sidewise, and after several tries, shoveling, etc. we got it out. It looked like a drowned rat. I drained out the water and brought it in without further mishap. 14 June Retired at 0130 and got up at 0930. Spent the morning and early afternoon writing up notes and cleaning out the weasel from yesterday's melee. Got gear ready for trapping, Found the battery was not charged enough to start weasel. Had to get one Wien man to tow me to get motor started. Let it run no generator could charge battery the rest of the afternoon. At 1900 went out and set traps on Tlo and TH. Back at 2300, Fixed late dinner. 15 June Retired at 0100 and got up at 0900. Ran the trap lines, came back and fixed breakfast, and spent the afternoon skinning specimens. 1630 went out west of camp and set 12 traps by snow leaf mists at the base of willows. The area (cheat shrub) is middled with well-used semi-ways. It looks like it might be good for a transect.
