Cade 1956 General Account 11 June Boarded south bound Wien DC-3, flight 345, about 2430. Arrived Uniat about 0200, and was met by the Wien radio and maintenance personnel. There are three or four of them stationed at Uniat. They put me up for the night in their bunk house, but before retiring I took a walk about the deserted camp and out along the wiesel road at the west end of "Uniat Avenue." Also examined the ARL hut for possible use as headquarters. It did not appear as satisfactory as the smaller U.S.C.S. hut, so I chose the latter, with permission of "Dust", who appears to be in charge of the Wien outfit. He seems to think he owns Uniat. Went to bed about 0330 and got up at 1015. Spent the rest of morning and early after- noon getting my gear set up in the U.S.C.S. hut and cleaning it out. Whoever used it last left it in a terrible mess. But they were kind enough to leave Eggerich's large ticture of Unite Ekberg tacked to the wall. About 1600 I went out to locate some of the relaver trans sets. Found T-4 with little trouble. The hundred foot intervals are marked with tent stakes, the intermediate ones with white soap tied to vegetation. About half of this line is encircled with wire.
