At 4 P.M. we returned north to see the shore just north of Belle Burns towards Table Head. I walked over the top along the path while Torrenchief followed the shore to take the dip and stroll of the rocks. We then proceeded to the gastrolite bed (gms N.3) at the southern base of Table Head, while I collected in the isolated area of them redder Hack modular limestone of N.1 standing nearly vertical and just back of the botanical gardens of the houses. In certain of these beds Amphyx and Agnostus were more common than I had seen them at Table Head. While collecting here William Lynd appeared and the schooner was seen beating about outside south of Table Head. After seeing Torrenchief and talking over this surprise we did not re-visit the area until Monday evening. We concluded that we had finished the Table Head region and would go on to Carr Head. Every thing was arranged to go aboard the Vistena and at 7.30 we pushed away from the shore in the day with Lynd and Bland at the oars. A high swell was on and to me it looked dangerous to go out and board the Vistena. We landed safely aboard the Vistena and at once went to bed. He rolled badly all the night and Torrenchief after 1 P.M. was a very sick man.
