Belle Burns
Just west of Belle Burns the strata are arrange in a small synclinal
axis pitching 20° in the direction of N.60 E., 1/6 of a mile further north the strike
is N.60 E, dip 15 S; 3/16 N.32 E., dip 39 W.; 3/16 N.25 E., dip 44 W,
4/16 N.50 E., dip 49 W.; The latter strike holds for 1/8 mile, then changes to
N.45 E. dip 48 W. 1/16 mile further changes to N.10 E., dip 48 W. The
latter changes almost immediately to N.25 E., dip 28 W. and holds thus for 1/1 mile
arriving to N.15 W, dip 23° W. Near 3 miles N.30 E., dip 20 W.
