Instructions from Halcott, March 18-1910 "In find in the collections of the Canadian Survey, some specimens of the heads of Olenellus-like trilobites from L'Anse au Loup, on the Straits of Belle Isle. They are in a limestone matrix and represent two species. The matrix is a rather hard gray limestone, which is not the limestone carrying the "carcs." Professor Hyatt collected a lot of the latter, but did not get any trilobites. "There is a very good deal from Anne Bay." Loran Cambrie begins on the west of Madore Bay and extends NE to Pointe Belle Isle. See Blanc Sutton section. All the beds at Fortune Bay appear to be phosphorous. Loran Cambrie probably 1100' thick is found near entrance to Long Arm of Canada Bay. Murray says the entire "Potsdam" is 12600' thick. Bedlamtown - Chaggy 4000' li (Jane Bay). From Cape Rosman for 100 miles to Hawkes Bay" Point Rich Limestone. St. John's Island. Maybe seen from Anchor Point to Hawkes Bay. Tale Point, Daniels Harbour, Portland Creek Steering Island and Cow Head. Bonne Bay.
