1/4 mile long and about 500 feet wide. This head of this

Billings described a number of species from "from
miles north of Portland Creek" which must mean Daniels
Horton. All of these species are out of the Corylomite and
above the Tattle Head Limestone, We saw no good fossils pick
in Tattle Head fords. In any event all of the fossils "from fow mile's
north of Portland Creek" are in the Cow Head Carylomite.

any shore can seen. It is a crime to allow this place to

The faulting of eastern Newfoundland is of a great char-
acter and with the dips to the east. There must be several such
faults, thus letting down the land to form lines in a sort of
direction and or giving rise to the Gulf of St. Lawrence. This
faulting is Port Palegic and partly in Port Cresylic. That
is after the plane of the Long Range was made. These faults
cut all the strata of the Pal. including the Cant.
