pieces of unmetamorphosed [illegible] limestone out of which I got a very few good things. If one put in an entire day crawling away here one might get a dozen or two of some trilobite heads and gastropods. If I do not go to Great Belle Isle tomorrow I will do this. [I did so but after 2 hours saw only three small mollusks] The greenish shales just above Haleitt state afforded him a payment of Paradoxides. Unless the limestone is much out of place due to the fault plane (it seemed to me today that the limestone was undulatin as once as overlain by the greenish shales) it is the youngest face of the Lami Cambrie limestone of this region. No other limestone gone hereabouts is like it. It is not a nodular limestone. White, similar to dark crystalline limestone.
