In early Richmond time [Long Point Patan Part) the sea again barely attained western Performdland. In early Siluric time [Stricklandiniantime) the sea encroached the northeastern side of the island but did not remain long. The time of igneous intrusions is uncer- tain but may be connected with those of Gaspe' or else they are connected with the Devonian. During early Mississippic time, the sea again encroached upon southwestern Performdland. The later Carbon. deposits are probably all of continental origin.
