Saturday August 27-1910 St John's Got up at 6 A.M. We are in the Random and Smith breed country, Still are in granite. The land from Come by Chance to Placentia Junction is very much directed. There appears to be one from Sky-line. The topography from Midtowne east is very irregular. One sees no sky line. The old Cretaceous peninsula if it ever existed here is completely dissected. At Briggs Junction the sky line is extremely irregular, gapped. By are the cross hills running towards Hellifjer and Conception Bay. Stopping at Crosbie Hotel.
