The Mt. just east of Cheattent Head shows
a synclinal structure. According to the
local description should come out again some-
where in the future west of Dry Island, i.e. from
Brocky Island. In the Bay however the strata are in folds
down the valley.
The Blomidon Mts are here the
Hill tipped Mts. They stand considerably
higher than the Palergic hills, less of
Holloways picture brings this out.
The Carboniferous country south of
Foschels is almost plane in to south here
and there two residuals. This plane looks
date a level made by the sea. It seems
to be at least 275 foot above the sea.
The Carb: occurs in low folds. The
dip averaging about 20°. Makes of a jellmit
and pindock etc. with gypsum seem to pre-
dominate.
