Saturday August 20, 1910. Omme Bay.
Hear fog until 8.30. It then lifts and
a very gentle breeze springs up. We left anchor
and at 9.45 have gotten in pretty Annie's
Point. A fine sunny morning and all
of the fog has lifted above the mountain
tips.
The northern & eastern shore of the
main entrance of Omme Bay is all of
the sandstone (16) series. There may be
some of the shales here as well but there
is no intrusive material. The other shore
is pure diorite.
When we are out to sea and look back
at the land we have a good view of the
Long Range Mts. They stand out boldly
and to the north of Omme Bay were
the fire land is low. As one approaches
