April 24 Friday. Called on Ridgeway and he found out from the Gov. Printing Office that one best fn $1035 had been sold about one year ago to G. John & Co, Baltimore, Md., in Chester Biddle, at Chase street. Ridgeway then Gave me a little of introduction to this firm and I started after them on the 1:45 P.M. train. Ridgeway's letter reads as follows: "Annapolis April 24-1908. Messrs G. John & Co. Chester, Chase, at Biddle streets Baltimore, Md. Dear Sirs; This will introduce to you Professor Clark Schuckert of the Yale University Museum, who desires to examine into as close the matter with reference to those lithographic stones which were included in the contract for re- producing the illustrations for Monograph XLIX, N.S., S.
