April 21-1908 Tuesday. Had breakfast with Prof. Dells, Then to Selma's to see Camptosaurus. Had lunch with Barler at Moody's Met Kindle. The Osage limestone has two faunas, the Upper Devonian one described by Girty and another one he calls Mississippian. Kindle was trying to make out a large Schiz- othra with comparative law-uses. Beautiful specimens. Led to me record to J. Swallier. This Mississippian fauna Kindle tells me has a strong Devonian impress (that of the Madison) but he would not commit himself. I would not be surprised if the Iowa Phleifer hengejandi takes the Osage fauna at the top of the Upper Devonian. The Mississippian above in then partly Kindlehood. Baleott called in Martin and myself to help him on an International Committee. Ostrom bragged of in the morning before the National Academy a motion for a Committee on Prime Correlation. Baleott is the chairman of the Inner circles, he will organize an America Committee. For the European assistance I suggested Man of Cam-
