Limehouse August 15-1913 About the afternoon collecting here and restudying the section. The section is as follows: Lockport limestone. A clear bedded grey caronous limestone with much fragmental fossil material. Did not make out thickness. Conformable contact but section broken. Basal 2 to 4 inches a basal conglomerate, the pebbles of [illegible] (shelly?) the Clinton below, and one or less mud in the dolomite. The regular Lockport character appears about 6 inches above base. Clinton then bedded grey to light blue and one or less indurine (shale) limestone. Thickness 6 1/2 feet. Williams and I spent each about 1 1/2 hours looking for fossils. He got almost nothing. I saw a cast about four inches in diameter of
