On Tuesday afternoon came again to Dundee To see the amphitheater at the head of the gulf and Where the falls are. The thin bedded Clinton clearly rests on the Medina sandstone and there is 8 feet of it terminating by the top bearing bed of 6 foot thick (Lucifer). The Medina very thinly bedded sandstone can be seen for 5 1/2 feet down to the base of the falls. The Rockport is here hard to distinguish from the Lucifer but in everything heals up into shaly material. The thickness is 6 1/2 feet. Of Rockport we see here about 15 feet. Clinton, at the base the Clinton is replete with glauconite and is more sandy than dolos- mitic. As usual 18 inches above the base occur an abundance of Pterameres Margus. But Farrisite and Accorcularia two feet above the base of the Clinton.
