Thursday May 30 - 1901 Bloomsburg Pa. Started out west of Bloomsburg and began to collect in Shive Bros quarry at Provania 5 miles east of Blooms- burg, just half way to Danville. The section here according to White and modified by me is as follows. Fifty to S. of quarry with Stormsville shale. Bear D. cycloptera [counts out] 100' Stormville conglomerate 4' This is only a conglomerate for the lower 2 to 3 miles, which are numerous Mariaecrius ulmus, Fav- heldutyrjiae and Pentamurus salictus. Bear nor D. amenus. The balance in a flint band without fossils; the sandy flint seen in so many places joining the Stormsville shale. Beds down to Storms [illegible] give 16' At the very top of this series is a limestone concreted with Lep. alba. We are thus headed shaly lias shales. Stromatoporra bed 10' This bed also has smaller branching Fav., and Stephanozoon.
