Cregmans saw more Marlius or korn beds saw about 75 fut. Corund area, Cherry Valley Hollow and plain. Prepary anthony ans m dele. See next page A great deal might be in here or very little as the beds lie at a low dip on each side, to the west, and then too they are apt to undate in the trunk of the syncline. Ialina series 1685 fut. Medina series 1600 fut. Hudson River Shales and sandstones. In the afternoon went over to the New Jersey side. Here the basal 30 fut. are nearly bedded chase white quartzite with gors of fettle conglomerate in size of about 1/2 ind. Then a single bed 30 fut thick of white quartzite without peltles. Then another bed of 15 fut when appear flaced shales with conglomerates of the regulatium character. At 225-fet above base just before a flaced shale gone 10 miles thick found a fine layer of Arthrophyceas lauransii of the fluene type. There is another layer 10 fot higher, and I think I also could smell them.
