"Our work indicates that the base limestone series had best be divided into three zones with distinct names. The upper lagers beds 8 can be termed the Brandy Grove series because they are well shown and are most fossiliferous at Brandy Grove to Indian Cove. The middle series, Lagers beds 3-7 are practically unfossiliferous and may be called the St. Albans series because all these beds are seen in St. Albans Cliff down to the shore on the road to Coke Springs Lytt house. The lower series includes Lagers beds 1 and 2 and may be called Rosed Cove beds. These lower beds make a good contrast to upper lagers. Beds 3 are soft and break down while the balance of the series again stand in vertical cliffs.
