July 9 - 1900 In the [illegible] Artin Institute there is a tooth of Mastodon shir[illegible] found at Address Cape Breton in 1859. Also, a fiver from Dales farm Middle Rive, Cape Breton. Length 3' 10". The "Giants are Pygmies." The tooth is a fragment with three decided tusks. Left Halifax on the 12:30 train for Antigonish. Telegraphed to Mrs Donald that Clark and I were together in Antigonish to morning. Mrs David Stonegman, Cnr of Mr Stanley, New Glasgow, N.S. Harry Piers Prov Museum, Halifax, Secretary Provincial Museum, Left Halifax at 12:30 and arrived at Antigo- inish by 5:30 p.m.
