Gaspe Aug 11 - Friday
In the morning looked over the rocks -
Gaspe sandstones - showing along the shore opposite
the village beyond Ferry Point. Saw only
fragments of plants, all unrecognizable.
In the afternoon met Gordon and a
Mrs. Riley of Montreal (Marine Invertebrate man)
collected at the same place as yesterday after-
noon. Found more fossils and two additional
species.
Gaspe Aug 12 Saturday
Set up early and packed a load with
fossils before breakfast. At nine took the
ferry to Peninsula where we arrived about
ten o'clock. Expected to have no trouble
to secure a man to take us from Peninsula
to Grand Mere and after 1/2 hours crawling
around found a man willing to take us
down the coast the ten miles if we would
wait until he had his hay in the same.
