PereƩ Aug 9, Wednesday, Drift a boat was taken of along the Chancellies to collect at the Grand Coupe. Found quite a number of bryozoa and corals in the Ordovician beds. The strata stand true as follows: Bmaventure dip: Ordiverian = Richmond Ordiverian Vertical beds of Lilliasian with fossils. (? Dalhousie) bed Bevel of Malbari. Borden went down the beach the other (Smith) way to collect Orstany fossils but saw nothing of value, Cauda fallii in abundance. Packed two boxes in the afternoon and addressed them to Charles Clervaut Dalhousie. Mr. Beard will ship them tomorrow by the Lady Eileen. Spent an hour at the splendid home of Mr. and Mrs. James.
