within five miles cliff somewhat towards the N.E. This is St. Bonaventure. from which the formation probably takes its name. Next stop Bonaventure. New Carlisle, Paspébiac. Above and below Paspébiac one sees a long straight coast with a cliff of about 20 to 30 feet. Above this a gently ascending land to a ridge probably not more 150 feet above the bay. This other side one the impression from former shale lime and litters. The faces of the cliffs show us nearly horizontal Carboniferous strata. The other stopping places during the night are St. Godfroi, Chicagawelle, Port Daniel, Lance aux Bascons, Newport, Grand Patro Mills Little Patro, Grand Rivon, Little Rivin East, Cape Core, Perce, Malbaire, Point St. Peter, Douglastown, Basque. Arrived at Perce at 3.30 A.M.
