left on the Blue nose Express for Bally- ville - the center of the Evangeline county stopped at Kent Lodge kept by Mrs J Moore. At a little after three started out in a carriage to see the Evangeline country about Grand Pre. On the shore of Mines Basin saw the Tertiary sandstone much in character like that of the Connecticut valley. On the ridge back of the village of Grand Pre saw some Devonian plants of Ptilophyton and Lepidodendron. Then drove over the ridge through the Bassford village. Arrived at Kent Lodge at 6.20 P.M. Took six and shots about Evangeline Road on Grand Pre.
