Dubuque Iowa
Aug 21st '91 Saturday.
Rain until 9.30 A.M.
Visited a series of quarries
in the southern portion of the
city. The Salina formation
at this place and in fact all
the way east to Salena crop
out in great bluffs and heavily
bedded throughout. The fossils
seen are usually casts, poor
and not very numerous. Picked
up a Schizotreta which seems
to be identical with three of
found by Jardine and Marsh.
Also a few specimens of
Actinocrinus and Sclerocrinus.
2 P.M. Left for Drafz on
the Chicago, St. Paul and Kansas
City R.R. Arrived there at 3.45
Put in the afternoon in the R.R.
cut just north of the station.
