Acervularia occur throughout these layers as well rarely Stromatopora, The latter being most abundant in the 15 foot zone. The coral preserved corals come from the blue coral clay. The yellowish shells (Pertamenus) come from the four foot zone and as once the semisilicon corals from the rail-road cut. The dip is strongly towards the lake and towards Petoski which continues of the strata above the dotted line to the two cuts 1/8 and 1/4 mile right on the C. & G. M. R. R. From these two cuts I have much calling attention to these notes. Towards the west end of the second cut the strata dip in the opposite direction from that of the eastern end. The coral clay I did not discover here. From these facts it is evident that the Hamilton occurs along Little Traverse Bay in low un- dulations and that the Acervularia
