Oct. 8 Considerable snow fell yesterday in Alpena and but little on the island. It snowed today off and on on the island. Oct. 9 The storm let down considerable during the night so that this morning the Thunder Bay Island tug was able to go to Alpena which we reached at 10.30 A.M. Packed the two boxes until noon. In the afternoon started for Partridge Point. I found that east of Mr. McCally's house the Hamilton shows about fourteen feet of exposure. I picked up 26 Codaetern,
