Started at 8 A.M. with fossils for
Culma on Trudged before mid
north heading then at 9:15.
Packed up all of the collection
objct I shipped in the afternoon.
The lot consists of 2 barrels and
four boxes weighing 90 pounds.
While packing about the collector
Mr. Mackintosh called and
asked me to see his collection.
Later I called and was sur-
priest to see the great liberality
of the tailor. It ended by my
taking all of his good fossils
of more than 30 species larger
over 150 specimens. In return
I promised if possible to furnish
him with some general work on
paleontology and the Richardson and
Whitney reports. I will pay
to encourage the gentleman
since I am convinced that other
good material are in the territory.
