Mexico City Sunday Sep 9-1906 In the morning and Stanton and Reidelmann visited Guadalupe. Some celebration was on at a high noon mass and I saw the celebrated pilgrims flow to adoration. Took many pictures in the good warm sun light. For a description of this place see Reidel's guide p.374. In the afternoon at 4 we then started down the Paseo de la Reforma and we had arrived at the building peace monument a severe storm came on us with cold druth hail. The ice pieces were as large as 1/4 to 3/8 inch. In spite of some shelter we got out through and had to return to the hotel to change clothes. In the evening we dined at the La Imperial and had chicken tamales, coffee, beef and hothouse pineapple are in 37 1/2 cents from memory.
