"Mexico Friday Feb 7-1906 Arthur doing orders by the express other than o'fer seeing about the city, therefore got of late and then packed my box of forms. Later purchased one drawn on to this time to the extent of $3.50 In the afternoon took the cars to Guadalupe about 35 minutes out from Mexico. The town lies at the base of the volcanic hills. The most interesting place in the large church built of brick and the cemetery back just in the hills. From here one gets a good idea of the valley of Mexico, In all directions can be seen volcanic hills and volcanoes. Between lies the flat of Mexico and in various places at this time of the year can be seen lakes over which dry up after the first saccion is on. About five o'clock had a splendid half hour view of the peak volcanoes to the south west. In the east it was raining but in the west the sun reflected against the two volcanoes. The snow crown tops shine out like brilliantly lighted Cumulus clouds. I have a good eye, I tried to photograph them and though they stood out in
