The great smoke monument with dead head and at a cost is in the H.S.Het. Mus. is a wonderful piece of stone carving. The "Obelisco de la ribera sur del Pue Palapopan" y Vera Cruz again show Egyptian carving. The Aztecs were acquainted with the dog or the Coyote or wolf as there are figures of them in the collection. Or often the god carvings show open hands just as one sees this in Buddhiste gods. This must have a connection with the lasts. The great Calendar stone is a wonderful carving at a great size. It is at least 3' thick and about 18' in diameter. Originally the outer surface was still large. The Archaeological Collections are grand but poorly shown. This is not or true of the large stones and monuments but even a better installation is possible. The smaller things are shown in deep cases without any regular order and the plans constantly interfere.
