From To Th. 68' 70'9" 2'9" Shaley block clay, siltietic Mercer Clay (Fe lumps), greasy. -- ? -- 70'9" 73'11" 3'2" Gray shale, greasy, Fe lumps, X (may belong with above interval.) 73'11" 76'3" 2'4" Shale as above but mottled red and gray. -- -- -- 76'3" 78'8" 2'5" Gray sandstone with conglomerate in lower Y 10". Coarse in basal 3"- all rounded quartz pebbles av. about 1/4"diam. in red + gray clay matrix -- -- -- 78'8" 78'8" 95'8" 7' Predominantly red shale with some gray and green. all rather Mauch silty, Fe lumps present. Chunks 95'8" 96'5" 9" Green sandy siltstone. 96'5" 106'5" 10' Greenish grey micaceous fine grained sandstone with layers + partings of green siltstone. ? X - If Y is representing local shred of conglomerate, then X is still Mercen + may, along with Y be indicative of reworked zone along Mercen - Mauch Chunk contact. Y - If Y is local phase in Mauch Chunk, at least lower interval of X belongs to Mauch Chunk.
