136. Outcrop of Upper Bakerstown coal at spring on Guy Stantons farm. 137. Outcrop of coal and black shale in road cut. About at Barton horizon. 138. Gray to black shale & shaley claystone underlain by coal smut (shows on S side of rd) Shales mostly with fragmental plant remains, but a few marine fossils present in lower part. Brush Creek horizon. 139 Adit in face of Klester stripping. 140 Jenkins mine. Several adits in Upper Kittanning coal. Middle 141 Area of heavy flint clay float on flat just E of sharp rise on sandstone. Can be reached by old trail leading up mountain from where Little Laurel run crosses shale road. Also on flat is white soft clay.
