Paces Feet ( Obscured 25 ( Heavy seepage in grassy flat. Surificial clay in gutter, coal blossom at w end. 12 ( Mottled surficial clays- no bedrock 17 ( No bedrock. Heavy ss float + topog. drop suggest ss. Small seep at W. end. 30 ( No bedrock - minor seepage E.end, weathered shale west end (see next interval). 19 Black shale grading to shaly siltstone with plant remains. Att: N.26.E., & to 11°, mirror result cuts choke striking N52 W. In lower 15paces ss lenses come in & predominate. Heavy ss float shows off road at this interval. At W.end coal blossom in ss with ss layers. (ss, clay) on claystone with traces of coal smut 5 seen just above. ( Obscured. 7
