59 Green shale stained red, overlain by red-bed. Altitude on shale N19°E, 4°E. 60 Old opening in the Upper Freeport? Probably QS-64, James Resh 61 Coal prospect, black shale on dump, no coal exposed. 62 Old opening in Upper Freeport? Resh, probably James or Clarence. 63 Old openings, 4 in all in the Lower Bakers town. (Q.S.-63, Simon Resh mines - coal reported by latter as 24") 64. s. Old opening. Ella Bevan mine #60 at Q.S. who reports coal "very streaky". Same seam as in crops at stations 56 & 69. Probably Barton. 65 Old opening - Clarence Resh, may be either in L.Freeport or U.Kittanning. According to Snyder this was little more than a prospect. Seep and plastic clay in bank just upstream from this.
