Part 1. Station. √ 1. s Bender + Beachy mine, Upper Freeport. (Mine # 15 of Q.S. report ≠ Bender & Beachy mine) U.S.B.M. calls this Beachy #1 mine. A slope in to the U.F. - not a crop mine. Operator (1948) = Meyers Coal Co. √ 2. s Beachy mine - crop opening on U.Freeport. (Q.S. may include this with his #15) √ 3. Two old crop openings in U.Freeport collectively called Butler mine. √ 4. Bender + Beachy mine. Slope intended to hit U.F. No data as to what it did hit. No coal evident √ 5. s Sloan Mine, crop mine on U.F., operated (in 1948) by Patten. √ 6. s Shaw Mine, crop mine on U.F. (descr. in 2nd coal Rept., p.285) √ 7. C.H.Bill mine, long abandoned. No record - probably Upper KiHanning.
