62. Abandoned coal mine, heading N 4° W. 63 Abandoned and caved opening in the Lower Bakerstown. Newman's (Noy?) mine. Locals report 22 to 28 inches of coal. 64. Mine, reopened 1947 but no coal taken & since caved. Heading N 70° E. Also mine of Noy Neuman. Locals report 4' coal. Upper Freeport. 65 Abandoned & caved mine in Upper Freeport? Heading N 63° E. worked about 1939-40 only few tons taken. Opened by Boardman. Locals report 4' from shallow drill hole in field above mine. 66 Abandoned & caved mine opening Direction of heading S. 65° E. 67 Well drilled, encountered 18" coal at 35 ft. vide Harrison Yummer 68 Yummer says groundhog dug out coal here.
