Bender & Beachy Upper Kittinging opening on C.H. Bill property. Abandoned & caved. 58. s. Abandoned & caved mine in the Harlem coal. Black shale with marine fossils on dump. Charles H. Bill owned it. (Q.S.-#13) 59. s Old caved opening, a second opening present about 15' south of it. Josiah W. Durst mine (Q.S. #22) Upper Bakerstown. Overlain by siltstone & silty claystone. 60 Exposure at 10' silty gray claystone overlain by 10' siltstone. Attitude on latter N 11° E, 7° E. 61 Abandoned & caved opening in the lower Bakerstown. Maust mine. Heading 77° SE. Coal overlain by sandstone & shale - Attitude on SS. N 77° W, 9° E.
