Quarry in ledge of massive sandstone.
May be ss. overlying Mt. Savage.

Road cut showing about 10" coal with
band & shale partings overlain by
black shale and underlain by
weathered (limonitic) clay and silty
clystone. Altitude (est.) N 85° E,
6° N. On N end of cut coal
seems to flatten out & there may
be slight reversal of dip.

clastic section to top of hill.-
