Opening in Harlem coal, Fagenbaker Mine. Black shale & argillaceous ls with marine fossils on dump. Abandoned + caved. Heading S. 65 E. 58 Numerous pits opened in Harlem by Henry Beitzel between here and #59. Dumps show black shale with marine fossils. Coal reportedly 18 to 22 inches. Caved. 59 See 58 above. 60 Abandoned and caved mine in Harlem. Heading S 65°E. Either Henry or George Beitzel or both opened it.
