Near Talfo station we had much evidence of shallow seas, First there was an abundance of sun- cracding; three times one of which had a thickness of about 10 ft. Second the same ripples, Third an abundance in many grms of englimate - intraformetional with the fours sometimes large at a time's edgeing, The layers bedded generally not laminated darker linestimes are made of of orlite and these are often reptile with intraformational englimate pieces of smalle size. Fifth in a few places more to be seen large mud lates in the thicker bedded grms of intraformetional crgl, The laminae are of some dense light blue li, in thin grms, se- furated by yellnish to brownish thinner bands darky and very fine sand. This formation at Talfo is probably lower Stone River and about 100 ftb due exposed is one of the finest evidences for proving the shallow- carliculate that the other in the pondlo. men of these seas, One is surprised to see the shallow water amount of orlite connected with these beds and in rock orlits probably are the intraformetional englimate, Forils once not seen in any of these beds, The lime is mostly precipitated by denity for lactura. Often it is almost pure, and of exceedingly fine grain.
