1904 Left New Haven Wednesday Sep. 14 for Illim to meet Darle. Left at 12.05 in New York, and at 3.30 for Albany when I stood over night because of train connections. Sep. 15 - 1904 Left Albany at 7 A.M. for Ilion where I remained the balance of the day being sick. Sep. 16 - 1904 Left Ilion at 8.30 A.M. for Days Corners and Mrs. Dallstury quarries where I arrived at 10.30. Staying at Dallstury house. Darle had a place stripped down about 18 feet to the crinoid layer. The span uncovered is nearly 35 x 15 feet. Took off the top layer to get at crinoid bed.
