the way top is a Stromatoporid zone about 30 miles thick almost complete made of these corallines, I should judge the zone to be about 5 to 10 feet deeper than the Stromatoporid quarry. Stephan still comes in the zone with P. foliatus. These higher beds maybe 20 or more feet thick. Sep. 15-th Sun day. Spent the morning at Cayville where we collected in the higher (P. foliatus bed). Fossils rather scarce. In the afternoon collected along the stone walls on the Wheelock farm. Found a Lepadocrinus, Animalogyrites and a fine Tentaclites slab.
