the way top is a Stromatoporid zone
about 30 miles thick almost complete made
of these corallines, I should judge the zone
to be about 5 to 10 feet deeper than the
Stromatoporid quarry. Stephan still comes in
the zone with P. foliatus. These higher beds maybe 20
or more feet thick.
Sep. 15-th Sun day.
Spent the morning at Cayville
where we collected in the higher (P. foliatus bed).
Fossils rather scarce.
In the afternoon collected along the
stone walls on the Wheelock farm. Found
a Lepadocrinus, Animalogyrites and
a fine Tentaclites slab.
