June 12-1901 Wednesday Left Washington on the 10:00 G.M. train for Cumberland. Arrived at 2:50. Talked shop with Lorden and started by the balance of the day. June 13- Thursday. Spent the entire day at Pinto, 10 miles D. & A. on the D. & C. R. R. From the station went around to the Armidalects road in upland a very complete section beginning in the Clinton and terminating with the gated bed. I had a copy of Powers section and on it I have made alterations and re- marks to adjust his work. In this section it will be best to begin the valuation with the first inter.
