This section brings out prominently one fact i.e. that there is another stratum some ftm just above the lowest cystid given in the Middle Marlus. Harkley says a similar bed occurs at the D.B.B., only less prominently. Another point is that the crustoid bed of the D.B.B. (=Lower Marliis) is decidedly a solid limestone bed and more prominent than the one above the Pentamys beds at D.B.B.(=Mid. Marlus) The large Lepiditha must have come from some hole although found in the dung of the cystoid bed.
