Aug. 2, Friday. Keowson, Tenn. Told the 7 A.M. train Chattanooga, Nashville and St. L., for Keowson about 16 miles east of Nashville. Then walked 3 miles west on the track to the most western quarry open for ballast. Here maybe see the following section. Fullers quarry. Louisville then bedded limestone with occasional one shale. A very hard limestone.
